You can purchase the dual notation+tab score here!
A set of 6 pieces for solo guitar, fusing elements of traditional classical guitar music with contemporary styles. each aiming to convey a different aspect of the concept of home:
Coming Home - this piece is meant to evoke the feeling of returning to a family/childhood home
Brachiating - 'a form of arboreal locomotion in which primates swing from tree limb to tree limb using only their arms'. As a tree surgeon, I'm lucky enough to say I feel at home up a tree. It often feels like we spend more time at work that at home, so maybe we should claim part of our workspace as an alternative home?
Warley Woods Waltz - named after the place my wife and I most loved spending time in while we lived in Birmingham. Another 'home from home' scenario, this time as a place of leisure rather than work.
Solastalgia - this beautiful word describes a 'form of emotional or existential distress caused by environmental change'. Our home is not just where we live, but our entire planet.
Vesper Flights - inspired by my favourite bird, the swift, and named after their nightly ascents far up into the heavens. Swifts are migratory and spend most of their lives in flight, which offers a radically different viewpoint on the idea of home.
Are You Ok? - the stress of moving home!

Broken Skies (2014)
This is a concept album submitted as part of my university degree, told from the perspective of two different people. The songs alternate between these two perspectives, and each is sung by
different voices.

The Barber Institute of Fine Arts: Tuesday Talks
These talks are mini-podcasts offering in-depth insight into the Barber’s stunning collection. I aim to set the mood by framing these excellent talks with a piece of music written specifically for them.
